Here is information for you to pass along to your membership. The Ocean County Board of Elections is working on the issue with Long Beach Island and other areas in the County that had to be evacuated especially since there is no real time frame on when residents will be able to get back into their homes or how polling places were affected.
We can give you the option of coming to our office to get a Vote by Mail ballot over the counter. You can vote your ballot and return it to the Board of Elections. We will be open extended hours to help voters. Wednesday through Friday, Oct. 31st to Nov. 1st we will be open 8am -9pm and we will be open Saturday and Sunday Nov. 3rd & 4th. from 9am-4pm. Monday, November 5th is the deadline to get a ballot over the counter by 3pm.
Currently, our offices are temporarily at the Ocean County Administration Building located at 101 Hooper Avenue in Toms River because our normal office in the Ocean County Courthouse does not have power.
