Dear Harvey Cedars Neighbor,

The purpose of your Harvey Cedars Taxpayers Association (HCTA) is to enhance the quality of life for residents, businesses, taxpayers and guests of the Borough of Harvey Cedars and to facilitate communication among the taxpayers and between the taxpayers and the government.

Our members are represented across the Island as one of eleven taxpayer associations who are part of the Joint Council of Taxpayers Associations (JCTA), giving each of us an even greater voice in how our taxpayer dollars are used.

You are invited to participate as a trustee or a concerned taxpayer in all of our activities. Our trustees

•    Attend and report on HC Commissioner meetings
•    Attend and report on monthly LBI Consolidated Board of Education and Southern Regional Board of Education meetings
•    Attend and report on monthly Joint Council of Taxpayers Associations (JCTA) meetings
•    Monitor information and action on beach replenishment, zoning, flooding, wind energy, Boulevard safety
•    Work with our Mayor and volunteers on beautification projects around the Borough
•    Sponsor the town-wide clean up day (May 7 this year)
•    Sponsor the annual town wide Yard Sale day (May 28 this year)
•    Arrange a Meet & Greet with members, HCTA Trustees & HC Commissioners
•    Convene the HCTA Annual Meeting (August 27 this year)
•    Arrange for Dune Grass Planting (October this year)

Your voice matters! You are encouraged to provide suggestions about additional HCTA involvement as well as your personal areas of expertise which would be valuable to the HCTA and the Borough. Also consider serving as a trustee on the board; reach out to any of the current trustees listed below for additional information.

HCTA dues are set at the cost of a seasonal beach badge- $35 a year (May 1-April 30) and can be mailed with your information form to HCTA, PO Box 3065, Harvey Cedars, NJ, 08008. This year’s Yard Sale is FREE to members in good standing.  You may also use PayPal.

Your HCTA membership of $35 is the first step to becoming more involved and having a say in what happens in our Borough. What influence we would have if ALL Harvey Cedars residents and businesses become HCTA members!

Looking forward to an even stronger Harvey Cedars Taxpayers Association!
