Dear Harvey Cedars Neighbor & Fellow Taxpayer,

The Harvey Cedars Taxpayers Association (HCTA) is your association, we represent you year ‘round. Our goal is to help you to stay informed and to become more engaged with our town!

HCTA is operated by an all-volunteer board of trustees, and we are open to hearing your ideas, concerns, and suggestions to make Harvey Cedars an even better place to live, work and play.

Benefits of your annual HCTA membership include:

Season Opening Membership Meeting/Social in May
E blasts of current happenings of interest and previews for action in the Borough
Annual town-wide Yard Sale participation (May 25, 2024)
Annual Wrap Up Meeting in August
Information about and communication with our government and agencies (beach replenishment, zoning, flooding, wind energy, boulevard safety and more)

Here are a few ways HCTA keeps you in-the-know:

HCTA keeps members informed with eblasts.
Our Trustees attend HC Commissioners meetings and report back to members with updates and responses to your concerns.
Trustees also stay up to date on LBI Consolidated School Board and Southern Regional School Board meetings and provide updates and input when needed.
We send two delegates to monthly meetings of the Joint Council Taxpayer Associations of LBI (JCTA). JCTA spends its energy on island-wide issues such as flooding, bike & pedestrian safety, offshore wind, and much more. Ours is one of eleven taxpayer associations covering all of LBI.

HCTA sponsors a town-wide clean-up day, dune grass planting and beautification projects around the Borough.

Household HCTA annual dues are the same as the cost of one beach badge, just $35 and this is the time of year we reach out to ask for your membership in 2024. Join the HCTA today to understand more deeply and have a say in what happens here. Together we will have a powerful voice!

P.S. – If you joined or renewed your membership at or after the August 2023 Annual Meeting, your membership runs through December 2024. If you're not sure, just ask and we'll let you know.
