Good Evening HCTA Member Families!
Tomorrow’s the BIG day, the Fourth Annual Harvey Cedars Community-Wide Yard Sale. In all, we have 33 households participating and traffic through town is sure to be heavy. Woo-Hoo! We wish everyone the best in their sales efforts and we sincerely thank those who’ve joined us this year. If you’re not selling we hope you’re buying and spreading the good word! The Annual Yard Sale has gained some wonderful momentum in the past years.
Printed “Treasure Maps” for buyers (listing all those items HCTA Families told us they’re willing to part with!) will be distributed from Boro Hall between 6:30 and 9am. Tell your friends!
NEWS AND MORE
Happily, word has gotten out about our annual “Treasure Hunt” and the media’s caught on too. I was interviewed by a Staff Reporter and I’m told that we are featured this week in The Islander’s “Fun Things To Do” section as one of five recommended things to do on LBI. I’ve not yet seen the paper so I can’t yet tell you what page it’s on, but I’m looking forward to seeing it.
HCTA volunteers work hard at promoting quality of life in HC and we’re always looking for more folks to help us do what we do. The Community-Wide Yard Sale is an especially labor-intensive annual project and any helping hands would be appreciated. Contact me by return email or reach out to any HCTA Board Member to learn more.
ANNUAL MEETING
We’ll look forward to seeing everyone at the Annual Meeting of the Harvey Cedars Taxpayers Association on Saturday, August 25th at 10am at the Firehouse on 80th Street.
Sincerely,
Kathy Ries
Vice President, HCTA
