What an awesome July 4th for two Harvey Cedars children whose parents are members of the HCTA.
Sister and brother Leah K.,10 and Gavin K., 6 have been participating with their mom and dad in the annual Barnegat Light July 4th parade for about 5 years. The theme of this years parade was “Hometown Heroes”. According to mom Darlene, the family decided to go with their summer heroes, the Harvey Cedars Beach Patrol and honor the patrol when creating their float. Darlene said “it was a fun time for the kids” to help make and man the float. The family appreciates the efforts of the HCBP and were thrilled to win 3rd place in the float competition. Congratulations to Leah and Gavin and their involved parents! And let’s not forget our thanks to our Beach Patrol guards for keeping our beaches safe- both Leah and Gavin hope to participate in the Harvey Cedars LIT program when old enough.
