About the event
Fall is the ideal time to plant dune grass, it roots best in the cooler damp sand that autumn brings us. Dune Grass arrives in HC on Friday, Oct 7 and is viable only for 2-3 weeks, that's why our planting event is the very next day on Saturday, Oct 8. The sooner we can get it in the ground, the greater success we'll have in preserving our beaches. Not sure where to plant? The Borough will help direct us to the areas of our dunes that are in greatest need of grass plantings.
