Good evening HCTA Members, here is our update:
*All towns on the island are now opened, as is the bridge during non-curfew hours. There is still a curfew in place on LBI (11pm to 5am). The bridge is closed during those hours.
*Gas service restoration: It began today in Ship Bottom and Surf City. We have no new information regarding the timing of the return of gas service in HC,
but we suggest homeowners line up a plumber/service technician to be ready when cleared to proceed. For more information on the planned restoration, please refer to the NJNG post on our website made yesterday morning.
*Don’t forget our LOST and FOUND page: You can list items on theHCTA website that might help reconnect property with it’s owner.
*HC Community Cleanup-2: Our second cleanup is scheduled for this Saturday, Nov 17 at NOON. Again, please meet in the parking lot of HC town hall. Bring your work gloves! Depending on what the Borough requests of us, we will again divide into teams and go out for a few hours to help with storm clean up. Please make sure you sign our volunteer sheet. This volunteer information will help HC gain more access to FEMA funds. Jim Loudon will be the point person for this clean up. Workday Wednesdays are on hold this week until all the trash dumpsters are emptied. You may also find a list of items volunteers will and will not pick up on the HCTA website (Harveycedarstax.org).
We will begin to dial back our updates as life in HC starts to return to our ‘new normal’. Unless we have timely information to send out, it will be a few days until our next update.
Have a good evening.
