This Weekend….the 24th Annual Harvey Cedars Art Festival!

The weekend is almost here and we look forward to the 24th Annual Harvey Cedars Art Festival- another fine event brought to you by the Harvey Cedars Activities Committee and chaired by resident Susan Kramer. The Festival is held at Sunset Park (under the watertower) and will take place on Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

Sue tells us: ” There will be approximately  70  special handpicked artists coming from many different states at our 24th annual Art Festival on Sunday.  There will be paintings, jewelry, glass, pottery, etchings, quilts, mosaics, photography, digital art and more.  There at least 15 exciting artists new to the show this year.”

“I believe some very important artists that we are able to get in our show would not be available but for the fact that the big 2 day show at the Foundation (LBIF)  is next week so they can do both shows.  We get them first!” Please come out and enjoy another fine event in Harvey Cedars!

A good time was had by all that attended the ‘No Discipline’ concert last Wednesday night at the park. The rain did it’s thing, then moved on so the show could proceed. This next week’s concert will feature  the rock group ‘The Following’.  The show starts at 7pm on Wednesday night,  so bring your blanket, pack a picnic dinner and come have fun!

It’s never too early to clean out your basement, attic, closets, garage or storage bins full of “stuff”. It’s a new year, and with that comes new beginnings (or a renewed sense of order).

Consider planning ahead and begin cleaning out those areas of you home that tend to accumulate clutter. You could be in for a big windfall in May! The HCTA is planning the 3rd Annual Townwide Yard Sale- to be held on Saturday, May 28- Memorial Day Weekend. Your trash could be another man’s (or woman’s) treasure!  Think of the extra space you’ll be creating, the possible money you could earn and the good feeling that someone could be enjoying your unused ‘stuff’. As we get closer to the event- sign-up details will be forthcoming.
